In 2032, Google takes over the world…

…or so “We Hate Technology” writers say in their post about Google resembling Terminator’s SkyNet in the near future. While obviously a bit biased (per their blog title), there are some cool ideas there. An excerpt:

This next decade is not going to be about Open Source versus Microsoft or Microsoft versus Apple. It is going to be about just how fast Google can move as a company. Google is the size of a tank that can move like a small European car. Most companies that size are the size of a tank and can move like a tank. For a mere $300 million Google will be able to effectively purchase the infrastructure of the U.S. internet and create the next network that the U.S. will run on. After that I am sure they will move on to Europe and other counties. Everyone take the time to bow down to your new overlords and sign into the Google Skynet.

(Cringing as I go do another Google search…)

Quotation of the week

“Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage.” Niccolo Machiavelli

Back in black

It’s been too long since I’ve posted some actual content on here…you may be noticing a great deal of links appearing over the past few days. I hope you find them useful or interesting; these are links that I am keeping track of for academic interests, my businesses or general interest.

Furthermore, I want you all to know that Function Technologies has secured its first deal! GroupWrangler will be coming to the Wake Forest campus in its entirety next semester. I will post more information about this, in detail, in my next post.
