Shout-outs

I owe a lot of people public ‘thank yous.’

So here are my public shout-outs. Some are very long overdue.

CHRIS PEARSON of Pearsonified for giving me advice about programming talent and recommending someone with whom to speak. Check out his site, Tubetorial, too. I really like this tutorial.

NOAH KAGAN for traveling out to Boston to help me with Groupvine and introduce me to friends even though he hates Boston.

BRIAN BALFOUR for lending his critical eye, personal experience and conceptual understanding to the brand-spanking-new version of Groupvine (coming soon).

ALASDAIR MCLEAN-FOREMAN, CEO of Traineo and HDO Sports, for introducing me to Blubolt, the firm who is helping me relaunch Groupvine.

SAM EPSTEIN, JAMIE COFF and STEPHEN SAINE, creators of Blottoes, for being great friends.

JOHN ABRAHAM for encouragement and support for making Groupvine happen.

KODIAK VENTURE PARTNERS for believing in Groupvine and helping me as EIR.

the Scott Hurff blog sucks

YES it does right now, because it’s so outdated. I have a lot of things I want to write up here. I promise I’ll start later today.

Quick notes:

  • I saw Nick Gray in Atlanta this weekend. We’ve spoken for about 8 months and we never met in person; we saw Pursuit of Happyness. I think we both cried. It was that good!
  • I’m on with Kodiak for at least another month. They like the progress I’ve made, and I believe I’ve uncovered a seam in the market that’s being underserved right now.
  • GROUPVINE VERSION 2 is underway, and close to launch. I will post some teaser screenshots later. New features include payment processing for the masses.
