LAUNCH: Fuego is now live

Start signing up. First issue is posted. We publish on Thursdays. Fuego can be found at www.thefuego.com.

This is why I’ve been MIA the past couple weeks — not to mention getting a new job and all that.

So, let’s get the obvious out of the way: what’s Fuego?

Fuego is a weekly email newsletter for the classy, successful, busy man. It pulls together the best, high-quality tips, insights, and ideas on wine, lifestyle, food, apparel, fashion trends, and anything else that every real man should know.

So what makes Fuego different? It’s simple. To the point. Instead of trying to be everything to every guy, we do less. Intentionally.

Furthermore, we make complicated stuff easy. Predict trends. Make things actionable. I aim to make Fuego more like a “trusted friend” giving advice.

Why? Busy, professional men are inundated with articles containing advice, tips and insights about how to stay healthy, where to spend their money and how to have fun.

Fuego fills a gap by offering poigniant, concise, actionable, high-quality content intended to make a lasting impression and offer a quick return.

So there you go. Have at it.

Another loss

I am a Buckeye by osmosis.  I never went to Ohio State, but I lived in Ohio for 15+ years 20 minutes from the campus.  If you live in central Ohio, you pretty much have to be a Buckeye, or at least learn how to deal with scarlet and grey everywhere.

At least the Buckeyes made it to two national championships this year — one (basketball) being the first time they’ve been to the championship game in over half a century.

Congratulations, Buckeyes.  And congratulations to the Gators for another win.  (sigh)

Go Bucks.

Addendum: I DID go to Ohio State! I took managerial accounting at the Fisher Business School one summer. So yes, I am actually sorta a real Buckeye. Haha.
